Thursday, June 21st, 2007To celebrate the longest day of the year Expedia and Cake organised a mass paint-athon in Trafalgar Square.
With 300 amateur artists taking part in London’s Trafalgar Square and Edinburgh’s Princess Street Gardens this truly is a once in a life-time event.
A few of the best pieces created will be displayed in the National Gallery in London
The sky is the limit
Friday, June 8th, 2007To celebrate the longest day of the year (June 21st), when there is more blue sky, Expedia.co.uk is launching the first ever ‘Blue Sky Day’. Three hundred aspiring artists will paint simultaneously in London’s Trafalgar Square and Edinburgh’s Princes Street Gardens on their very own Blue Sky canvas.
A select few who paint in London will also have the ‘once in a lifetime’ chance to have their work exhibited in The National Gallery. The National Gallery will be looking for interesting, creative quality responses, inspired by the Gallery’s collections and Blue Sky Day
