Happy As A Cow In Clover

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

Leicester Square has seen its fair share of stars over the years, but nothing could prepare it for the arrival of this bovine beauty. Yes, Ben & Jerry’s very own Dolly made her annual outing in Leicester Square yesterday to celebrate the brand’s 30th birthday with the good folk of London.

Despite the weather’s best efforts to put a dampner on proceedings, hundreds of fans turned up for free ice cream at one of the hotspot’s three Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops. As well as leading happy birthday sing-a-longs, our friesian friend Dolly - with a little help from Cake - invited punters to sign a massive 6-foot birthday card which is now occupying pride of place at Cake HQ before winging its way straight to Ben and Jerry in Vermont. Prince Charles can look forward to a double dollop of goodness this Wednesday: to celebrate HRH’s special day, legendairy ice cream makers Ben & Jerry’s have rustled up a bespoke birthday treat.

Heir To The Cone is the jewel in the crown of Ben & Jerry’s range. This limited edition ice cream is a sweet gift for the guy who has everything – and sure to make for one cool birthday when it lands on the Prince’s doorstep tomorrow.

Heir to the Cone is a right royal treat of creamy banana ice cream, walnuts and chocolatey chunks. Of course, only the finest ingredients were used in this ice cream fit for a king (to be)!
