Turning London Green
To celebrate the launch of Visit London’s new Village London campaign Cake has turned Trafalgar Square Green for the day. The team worked through the night to lay 2,000 square metres of green turf in one of London’s most famous open spaces transforming it into a big village green.
During the two-day event in Trafalgar Square people will be able to take advantage of the green space to have a picnic or just soak up the atmosphere and relax. After this the turf will be relocated to Bishops Park in Hammersmith and Fulham, where it will be planted beneath an avenue of majestic plane trees close to the River Thames and Fulham Palace.
