The Fiercest Battle Since Terry’s Face vs. Diaby’s Foot
My ongoing tour of Championship football clubs saw a return to Molineux this week as I went to meet Head Groundsman Terry, his glamourous assistant Wayne and Wolves star Karl Henry. They were on hand to help us launch the Wickes Groundsman of the Year Award for this season.
Terry was chuffed with his recent present from Wickes - a shiny new wheelbarrow, spade, fork, personalised jacket and Wickes discount card, as sent to every single groundsman in the Championship. All of them will be aerating, watering and hoeing their hardest in the hope of walking away with the coveted trophy, which will be awarded later in the season following extensive scientific tests on all Championship pitches.
