The Cheekiest Link: Cake Does TV

Back in the year 2000 Cake Account Director Tim Pearson decided to pit his wits against a handful of students and old ladies on cult quiz show ‘The Weakest Link’. Tim’s 3rd TV appearance (after appearances on The Big Breakfast and The Biggest Game Show In Town) saw him make it all the way to round 5 of the show before hearing those immortal words “You Are The Weakest Link, Goodbye.”
All was not lost though, The Daily Star proclaimed him ‘The Cheekiest Link’ after blowing a kiss to ice-lady and host Anne Robinson, on his walk of shame.

Julia Barratt claimed the date she always craved after appearing on ITV’s ‘Whatever You Want’. After being recruited for the show while shopping for more shoes on Oxford Street, Julia appeared on Gaby Roslin’s show winning a date with kings of the key change – Westlife.

Not to be outdone, then singleton Mark Hindle once appeared on MTV’s dating show ‘Singled Out’ winning a date to dance music festival Homelands with a striking gothic girl. She never called.

Finally, Art Director Simon Moore’s claim to fame was an appearance on Chris Tarrant’s Tiswas assisting the famous phantom flan flinger in his work.
